How it vends

22mm coil, product pusher, top-loader case

VTM machines do not need an elevator or a robotic arm to deliver cards. A specialized 22mm coil paired with a rigid top-loader pack case does the job, and a product pusher keeps the row feeding forward. Traditional trading card kiosks move product with robotic arms or elevator systems and run $10,000 to $20,000 before you vend a single pack. VTM engineered a purpose-built coil that relies on proven spiral vending, so the lineup runs $2,850 to $5,000.

The same coil, case, and pusher system is sized to each machine's tray. Wall-mounted machines come with a mounting bracket and hardware and can also be bolted to a pedestal stand to stand on the floor. Machines ship unwrapped; TCG wraps are sold separately at VTM Vending.

Operator questions

Running a VTM machine

Do I need a license to operate a Pokémon vending machine?
No. Pokémon trading card products are unregulated consumer goods. You do not need age verification, special licensing, or franchise approval, which makes card vending far simpler than age-restricted categories like vape or alcohol. If you can run a vending route, you can run Pokémon vending.
Is it legal to sell Pokémon cards from a vending machine?
Yes. Under the United States First Sale Doctrine, the lawful purchaser of a genuine product can resell it through any legal retail channel without permission from the brand owner. Sealed product bought through legitimate channels can be resold on shelves, in kiosks, and in vending machines.
Can I manage Pitch Black pricing remotely?
Yes. VTM Software gives you real-time sales, inventory, and pricing control from any device. You can change the vend price of Pitch Black, see which rows are running low, pull revenue reports, and track several locations without visiting a machine.
What payment methods do VTM machines accept?
Every machine ships with Nayax VPOS Touch payment hardware that accepts credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and cash. Payment processing costs 3.5% plus 20¢ per transaction, with real-time reporting through Nayax and VTM Software.
How much does it cost to run a VTM machine per month?
The software is free for the first 3 months, then $29 per machine per month. You also pay location commission (typically 10% of revenue), payment processing (3.5% plus 20¢ per transaction), and a small amount of electricity. The machine itself you own outright.
Where do Pokémon vending machines perform best?
High-foot-traffic locations with a mix of impulse buyers and collectors: gas stations, convenience stores, arcades, bowling alleys, family entertainment centers, hobby shops, and mall kiosks. Locations with younger customers and families tend to outperform a standard convenience store.
